"NANO" now in Arabic.  

The Saudi Centre for Nanotechnology has been launched yesterday. This Arabic electronic centre is regarded as the first electronic database and information centre in the Arabic world, says Abdullah bin Mohammed Almatani Alhzli from Altaief university - Department of Physics- and one of the scholarships who has

developed the centre. “The centre aims to support the development of human knowledge. We have originated the idea after we noticed the emergence of a clear need to Arabic sources in nanotechnology”.

Says Hatem Ben Rashid Alomery the scholarship from Um ALgura University and the other originator of Saudi Centre for Nanotechnology. Both of the scholarships are specialized in nanotechnology at Curtin University in Australia.

They define Nanotechnology as a Technology concerning processes which are relevant to physics, chemistry and biology taking place at a length scale of one divided by 100 million of a metre. It is the art of producing little devices and machines at the molecular scale.

The scholarships pointed out that the centre was based on the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques that appreciates the importance of science and technology in the advancement of Nations . The Saudi Centre for Nanotechnology" on the link www.saudicnt.org
