The first meeting for Saudi students clubs in Australia and New Zealand took place in Canberra.

Sponsored by his Excellency the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Australia Hassan Talaat Nazer, the first meeting of the board of directors of Saudi students clubs in Australia and New Zealand for 2009 was held in Canberra and attended by the cultural attaché D. Ali Albishiry and members of the embassy and the Cultural mission and heads of the Saudi Students Clubs in Australia and New Zealand, said Zafer Al Jalfan Director of Cultural Affairs and the Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Student Club in Australia and New Zealand.

Al Jalfan also pointed out that the meeting which lasted for two days included number of workshops for the media members and Saudi Students Clubs in Australia and New Zealand.

The director of cultural affairs added “the meeting discussed number of topics related to the Saudi students clubs in Australia and New Zealand and the role of these clubs in helping Saudi students to integrate in the Australian community.
