• The formation of partnerships between institutes of higher education in the Kingdom and their respective counterparts in Australia.
• Following up the recommendations and decisions of joint committees; conventions; cultural, academic and scientific cooperation agreements; research and consultancy agreements, between the institutes of higher education in the Kingdom and their counterparts in Australia.
• Management of the annual scholarship programs provided by Saudi universities for Australian tertiary students to undertake their studies in the Kingdom, and the following up and completion of those procedures.
• Manage the availability of the academic seats which are supported by the Government of Saudi Arabia in support of scientific research centres and following up related matters within Australian universities.
• The coordination of mutual visit programs between the institutes of higher education in Australia and Saudi Arabia. The goals of the visits are to exchange experiences; educational, academic, technological and scientific research; as well as consultation and development.
• Facilitate and coordinate the programs of officials from Saudi universities who are visiting Australian universities, and to ensure their objectives are met.
• Facilitate and coordinate the programs of officials from Australian universities whom are visiting Saudi universities, and to ensure their objectives are met.
• Facilitate and coordinate the participation of officials from Saudi universities to participate in Australian based conferences, workshops and seminars.
• Facilitate and coordinate the participation of officials from Australian universities to participate in Saudi based conferences, workshops and seminars.
• Completion of the applications of universities and various educational institutions in the Kingdom for the purpose of finalising the procedures of the contract with the nominated Australian academics to teach in the Kingdom.
• Participation, on behalf of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in international conferences around Australia.
• Organising Saudi based conferences and international book fairs in Australia and the promotion and implementation of cultural festivals, seminars, cultural activities, support for national celebrations and special events to engage the involvement of Saudi student clubs.
• Participate in international book fairs, cultural festivals, and other activities carried out in Australia. 
• Organising and engaging in cultural weeks and special days in coordination with Australian universities.
• Assisting individuals interested in researching on the development of education in Australia and Saudi Arabia by providing them with the necessary information and consultations.
• Assisting Saudi students and their families in increasing their awareness and respect of the legal, educational and social system in Australia. Thus contributing to the strengthening of a positive relationship between themselves and their local community.
• Providing consultation to Saudi students and their families in order to aid them in resolving their problems that involve educational, legal and social matters in Australia.
• Promoting Saudi Arabia’s achievements, with the cooperation of public and private institutions in the Kingdom, to showcase the success of the scholarships and bring recruitment benefits to the scholarship graduates.
